Boutonnieres are often the overlooked floral of the wedding day, but I absolutely love them. In the same way that a great appetizer is a delightful balance of flavors and textures in one delectable bite, a well-executed boutonniere is a gorgeous, perfect little package of color, shape, and scent. It’s a little floral teaser that perfectly compliments the rest of the decor.
Kudos to all the wonderfully talented designers who create these perfect, delectable little floral treats for our enjoyment! I can never get enough of them!
This crazy warm weather has everyone thinking it’s spring.
Sometimes, you’ve got to make your own sunshine on a Monday. Enjoy!
I got to bring these home after Saturday’s beautiful wedding at the Olympic Club Lakeside in San Francisco. They still look great, and they made a certain 9-year-old very happy!
Lovely Janie Medley posted these sweet, sunny images at at The Bride’s Cafe last week. Thanks, Janie – it was such a pleasure spending the afternoon with you and these beautiful blooms!
A daffodil in December. Poor confused baby.
And this lovely home, built in the windowsill.
Mmmmm, peonies. Beautiful, fluffy, ornate, fragrant pillows that announce the true arrival of summer. My birthday falls during their peak bloom time – just another way that I’m a lucky, lucky gal. Thanks, Robyn, for my birthday peonies.
